does'nt time fly

can't beleive what the date is already the 5th september 2007! we have traveled up the east coast of oz in our wicked camper van, thats the name of the company that we rented it from, it had ali g painted on the side of it, while traveling you would see loads of the wicked campers driving around, it was like a little community, every time you passed each other always a beep of the horn or a freindly wave, we started of in brisbane spent new year in a hostle where we meet loads of great people all looking for the same thing from all over the world. we then picked up our ali g camper van and thats where our journey began. the feeling of freedoom i will never forget, knowing you can do anything and end up any where the road could take you, noosa,(here we stayed in a bush camp called gagaju, while we where only visting others lived a simple life here,) hervy bay,(we sailed the whit sunday islands) 1770 (after a long drive we were pleased to see the clear blue cool shallow sea for a dip and a cold beer), bundaberg, rockhampton (while here we stopped off for a nice cold pint and got chatting to the bar man, he was a music fan, all the bands he mentioned we had never heard of, he diciced he was going to burn us off a cd to listen to while we carried on the rest of our journey, we picked it up the next day, what a great cd it was, that music will always remind me of what a fantastic time we had, what a nice man) mackay,airlie beach, townsville, cairns (this day was one experiance i will never forget, we jetted to the great barrier reef on a high speed boat, went snorkiling with a array of multi coloured fish and coral, swam with turtles, seen a gaint clam over 200 years old, went on a glass bottom boat, then had a helicopter ride back the city of carines over the beauiful barrier reef, what a day!) port douglas. here was the end of our time traveling up the east coast now we where traveling in land heading towards the red center over the atherton tablelands, this is where done alot of driving, i say we, i cant drive so poor old gaz! stopping for sleep and food then kept driving thourgh ravenshoe, charters towers, hughenden, (all tiny villages), barkly homestead, (was just a petrol station with a camp ground and pool we jumped straight in, the heat was unbareable at some points, espeacily when we couldnt have the air con on other wise we wouldnt have enough petrol to get us to the next stop thats starting off with a full tank!! the distances between each place where mad, with nothing just wide open space.)tennant creek, devils marbles ( we lost the photos from here, of masive rock formations, big boulders standing one on top of the over, an amazing sight) ti tree (again just a road house) then alice springs, what a drive, but it didnt stop there we still had another 4 hours driving before we made it to uluru (ayers rock) what a magical rock so powerfull, we meet a couple there too, the were lovely, nice to chat to some one else about our experances and theres, we traveled to kings cayon together then they went there way and we went ours, we traveled back to alice springs to drop off our camper van, if felt like a part of us, even after traveling 3912.5 miles in it we still could of done a couple more, what a brlliant, magical, mind opening experance.   next we fly to sydney and a wait our cruise.............................

x-mas in oz


not long now!!! getting realy excited, cant wait to be free of work and on the open road, what is it now 15 days to go. its realy strange spending chirstmas in oz, just doesnt feel festive at all, christmas is normaly a realy busy time for us visting friends and family, buying presents, but this year there is none of that, just working and a bit of sun bathing every now and then, i still cant get over the christmas music playing in shops that are selling buckets and spades and sunglasses. this time of year is diffinatly suppose to be cold, with long dark  nights, ah i miss england, it is a good place to be, would never of thought i would miss those bitter cold days, but i do. there is lots that i miss, my family and friends are right at the top of my list, never realise what you got untill you havent got it no more, i couldnt ask for better friends and family, they all mean so much to me, my mum well what a mum she is, loving and caring, always there when you need her plus she is a bit on the mad side so there is never a daul moment, lisa, always something up! but she can always find a smile weather you can see it or not, she is always there to make me laugh,  deb, can count on her to have a great night out, and always has a good wardrobe if ever im in need, the list could go on, sam, si, lynd, pop, steph, tash, mart........ there is more, they are all such good mates im such a lucky person, cant wait to get home and see them all again, like i said not long now, first our trip then back home to good old england!

the date is, um what is the date!...........26th november 2006, i am currently living in australia, we have been here for nearly a year now, by we i mean me and my.. what can i call him, my one and only...... pain in the ass...... loving, caring partner of 6 years, gaz.
we dicided to come to australia a couple of years now (well it was gaz's idea, i just went along with it) bloody good idea it was too, we have been having a wicked time, we started off in melbourne, st kilda, then after three months moved onto sydney, bondi, after a month we then moved to gold coast, surfers paradise where we currently are now. we are planning a road trip at the mo from brisbane up to cairns then across to alice springs in a camper, cant wait its gunna be ace, then to top that off we have booked a cruise to new zealand, just as are road trip ends are cruise begins, goes from living it ruff to living it top class, cant be bad, once we get to new zealand we are going to stay with friends who we meet in melbourne, then off we go back home to england, what a memory. travel is the best, it opens your mind, gives you opotunity that you never would of had, meet great people, see amazing things, and shows you that you can do anything you put your mind to! thats it from me for now so ta ta x
